Summer 2020 Semester Course Offering
With the Winter semester wrapping up, many English & Cultural Studies students have enrolled in or inquired about our Spring/Summer 2020 course offerings. We’ve decided to add a Summer course due to the high demand – ENGLISH 3GF3 (Studies in Popular Genres) is now available for enrollment in Mosaic. This course will be taught online in a Virtual Classroom. Details are as follows:
ENGLISH 3GF3 (Studies in Popular Genres) – Instructor: TBD
This course will provide an in-depth exploration of the conventions and consumption of one or more popular genres, such as graphic narrative, science fiction, romance, horror, crime writing, fantasy, chicklit or memoir.
Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level II or above of any program.
ENGLISH 3GF3 may be repeated, if on a different topic, to a total of six units
**The topic/genre is TBD, however, it will NOT be James Bond. If you took this course recently with James Bond as the topic, you may be able to take it again for credit. Please contact Humanities Advising for assistance enrolling if you’ll be taking the course a second time for credit.**
– Note that this course is open to students at Level II or above in any program. If you know any non-program students looking for a Summer elective, please feel free to share this with them.
– At this time, our Spring courses (ENGLISH 1F03, 2Z03, 3PT3) are full. If you’re interested in these courses, keep checking Mosaic as seats may open up from students who opt to drop the course(s).
