We are pleased to announce that Professor Henry Giroux is set to receive the 2019 Professional Freedom and Responsibility Award, from the Cultural and Critical Studies Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
The Cultural and Critical Studies Division of AEJMC has presented this award for more than three decades, to individuals and organizations demonstrating dedication, courage, leadership or achievement in free expression, ethics, and media criticism and accountability. Past winners of the award include Noam Chomsky, Nina Totenberg, Studs Terkel, Bill Moyers, and many others. The award will be presented at the organization’s annual conference, to be held in Toronto in August.
